Competitor engagement
The people already shopping in your category
Someone commenting on a competitor’s launch post, asking about pricing or complaining about a feature, is in your market this week. The agent watches those pages so you hear about them the same day.
What the agent watches
The company pages of the competitors you name. The agent reads each new post and the people engaging with it, then drops anyone who works at the competitor or fits your exclusions, such as recruiters or other vendors. All of this comes from data providers. Your connected LinkedIn account is never used to read anything.
- 01
Name the competitors
Paste their LinkedIn company pages. rivomi suggests the ones your website mentions.
- 02
See who is engaging
Each person is scored against your segment. The reason says what they did, so you can tell a curious peer from a frustrated customer.
- 03
Start with the problem
The note talks about the thing they raised, not about the competitor. Nobody wants to hear that they were spotted on a rival’s page.
What a lead from this signal looks like
The moment, the reason it fits your buyer, and a first line about what they did.

Commented on a competitor’s product post: “Would love this if the CRM sync did not break every other week.”
Why they fit: RevOps at a company in your size band, frustrated with the tool you replace, on a problem you solve.
Draft connection note · 178/300
Hi Hannah, CRM syncs that break every other week are a special kind of tiring. We spent a while on exactly that problem. If it is still biting, I am happy to share what we found.
Sample. The person, the company and the quote are invented.
Works best for
- Categories with a known leader
- Buyers who talk back to vendors in public
- Switching moments: launches, price rises, outages
The honest limit
Competitor pages also attract their staff, partners, investors and job seekers. The default exclusions remove most of them, but check the first week of results and add anything that slipped through to the disqualifying words.
